Sian’s alternative version of a three stone engagement ring, this piece uses an ancient casting technique to cast each vintage point cut diamonds directly into place.
These vintage diamonds come from jewellery pieces that have been recycled. Cut by hand, they were designed to twinkle in low light, gas and candle light. They have a softer sparkle than modern stones. By choosing to have a ring made with a vintage diamond you are choosing a sustainable future, saving energy, by-passing newly mined and cut stones, giving a new life to an old stone made by nature millions of years ago and cut by a lapidary, perhaps up to 200-300 years ago .
