Jennifer Shellards practice centres on responses to colour, light and tonal gradation. Using drawing, painting, mixed media and experiments with light, the textiles have evolved using predominantly silk and silk blends to create accessories; scarves, bags and genderless ties. In parallel, Jennifer has created woven time based installations involving the development of looped colour/light projection and integrated U.V light to create illusionistic effects on the textile for architectural interiors and exhibitions.
Jennifer will be showcasing her contemporary textiles at Collect.
