Katja Fox’s work embodies her phenomenological perception of inhabited space based on fragments of thought, knowledge and emotion. Her metaphorical ‘homes’ are constructed by employing ancient metalsmithing techniques and are embellished with meticulously applied vitreous enamel and/or fine gold leafing.
Fox hopes that her work may speak to the viewer, that they may feel touched by it and make his or her own connections with the piece.
