The Sea Shore ranges depict variations of abstract coastal landscapes and seascapes. They were inspired Thomas' many family walks across the South Downs and along the Estuaries near Cuckmere, passing under the white chalky cliffs of the Seven Sisters across the multi-coloured pebble beaches down to the waves rolling in from the Channel.

Each piece has been sandblasted, which like the sea and winds of the region have eroded the surface, revealing colours and patterns underneath and resulting in an appearance of mottling and pitting, which you also see on the pebbles washed up on the beaches.
